Their patterns impact how the Decorated Pots they form into will look. How to Get and Use Pottery Sherds in Minecraft 1.20

Best Places to Farm Pottery Sherds

Different areas contain different types of Pottery Sherds. So if you want to get a specific type of shard, you can use this list that we’ve prepared for your convenience of all the locations with their respective drop chances:

I’d suggest focusing on the Trail Ruins if you’re looking for a wide variety of Pottery Shards and the Desert Well if you’re looking for the highest chance drop rate for Shards.

How to Use Pottery Sherds in Minecraft

Pottery Sherds can only be used for crafting Decorative Pots, with different sherds resulting in different patterns. You can craft a Decorative Pot with 4 Pottery Sherds of the same type. But you can also use simple bricks to fill out one of the missing sherds. The result will be the same. If you break the Decorative Pot, it will drop all 4 Pottery Shards that have been used for crafting it. So you can craft it again immediately.
