Creating efficient garden plots is an active pastime for Palia players. Whether it be focusing on boosting crop quality, water retention, or optimal crop placement. Having a plant in the wrong space can completely throw off your layout. Mistakes happen, though, and you might put a crop down in the wrong plot. You may want to remove or move crops for situations like these, but can you move crops? Here’s the answer.
Can You Remove Crops in Palia
Originally, you couldn’t remove a crop after it was planted. If you sowed the wrong seed in the wrong spot, you’d have to wait until the plant was fully harvested before fixing your garden layout. Following requests from players, the much-asked-for quality-of-life feature was added to the game in patch 0.169.
How to Remove Crops
If place the wrong plant, this is how to remove it:
- Have the Hoe equipped.
- Hold the RMB while over the crop.
- Fully complete the animation for the crop to disappear.
Finishing the animation is key for this to work. Letting go of the button will cancel the action, and the plant will remain. The patch notes for the update only state that a seed can be removed, so act fast before it grows.
If you’re only looking to move soil plots, you can while crops are planted by using Control. In this mode, you can move the plot and rotate it. This is handy if you need to move plots to fit in a blueberry bush. To store the plot, you’ll first need to remove all plants or wait until they die before you’re able to.
That’s all you need to know about removing crops in Palia. “Check twice and plant once” is a good adage to keep in mind in this game, especially if you’re prone to seeding crops right before six a.m. For more on gardening, take a gander at our various Palia guides, including the mechanics of companion planting.
