Pancham is the cute, leaf chewing panda inspired Pokemon first introduced to the series in Pokemon X and Y. Having made its way to Pokemon GO, it’s a rarity to see one in the wild. So can Pancham be Shiny in Pokemon GO? Here’s the answer.
Shiny Pancham in Pokemon GO
As of July 21, 2023 with the start of the Team GO Rocket takeover during Hidden Gems, Pancham can be Shiny! Shiny Pancham switches out the black and gray for shades of brown, with its evolution Pangoro getting red feet and hands, as well as brown fur. It almost looks like its bear relatives instead of a panda.
How to Get Shiny Pancham
The announcement for Shiny Pancham does stat that it can be found in the wild, however, Pancham isn’t listed as one of the Pokemon that’ll appear in the wild. As of right now it seems Pancham is only available as a potential hatched Pokemon from the Team GO Rocket special 12km eggs. You’ll have a chance to hatch a Shiny Pancham from there. You may want to stock up on Super Incubators to reduce the km you need to walk to get those eggs to hatch.
To get the 12km eggs you’ll need to defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni himself. With an increase in Grunts at PokeStops and Gyms, getting the Rocket Radar to encounter the leaders should only be a minor inconvenience to getting the Shiny Pancham of your dreams.
