Cherry blossom crowned Pokemon are out and about during the Spring into Spring event in Pokemon GO.

With the end of Let’s GO and Team GO Rocket Takeover events today, Niantic has announced a new Pokemon GO event, Spring into Spring. Starting April 4 at 10 a.m. until April 10 at 8 p.m., the event comes with new Pokemon to catch, a new egg hatch, and more. Here are all the details for the Pokemon GO Spring into Spring event

Pokemon GO Spring Into Spring Debuts

Cutiefly and its evolution Ribombee are coming to Pokemon GO for the first time. While both are available to catch, Cutiefly can be evolved into Ribombee using 50 Cutiefly Candy. 

Along with the Bee Fly Pokemon, cherry blossom crowned Pokemon will appear. 

  • Pichu (and its Shiny version)
  • Pikachu (and its Shiny version) 
  • Raichu
  • Eevee (and its Shiny version) 
  • Vaporeaon
  • Jolteon
  • Flareon
  • Espeon
  • Umbreon
  • Leafeon
  • Glaceon
  • Sylveon

Raichu and all the Eeveelutions can be Shiny and adorned with cherry blossoms if they are evolved from a Shiny Pikachu or Shiny Eevee. Chansey and Togetic will appear but will be wearing flower crowns instead of cherry blossoms.

Hatching Eggs

Riolu and Shiny Riolu will be added to the Pokemon pool for 2km eggs. Along with Riolu, the following Pokemon can be hatched from 2km eggs. 

  • Cherry Blossom Eevee (and its Shiny version)
  • Cherry Blossom Pichu (and its Shiny version)
  • Flower Crown Togepi (and its Shiny version)
  • Azurill (and its Shiny version)
  • Flower Crown Happiny (and its Shiny version) 
  • Munchlax (and its Shiny version)
  • Cutiefly

As part of the Spring into Spring event, Eggs will give 2x Hatch Candy and take half the distance to hatch when placed in an Incubator during the event. Lucky eggs will last for an hour when activated. 

Spring into Spring Raids

New Pokemon will be appearing in raids during the Spring into Spring event. 

  • One-star Raids
    • Cherry Blossom Pikachu (and its Shiny version)
    • Jigglypuff (and its Shiny version)
    • Cherry Blossom Eevee (and its Shiny version)
    • Cutiefly
  • Three-star Raids
    • Exeggutor
    • Alolan Exeggutor
    • Flower Crown Chansey (and its Shiny version)
    • Flower Crown Togetic (and its Shiny version)
  • Five-star Raids
    • Lugia (and its Shiny version)
  • Mega Raids
    • Mega Lopunny (and its Shiny version)

Field Research Encounters

Continuing the trend of having cherry blossom and flower crown Pokemon appear during the event, there are four new Pokemon you may encounter when completing Field Research. 

  • Cherry Blossom Eevee (and its Shiny version)
  • Cherry Blossom Pichu (and its Shiny version)
  • Flower Crown Togepi (and its Shiny version)
  • Flower Crown Chansey (and its Shiny version)

There’s a new avatar item that will be making its way to the shop. The Happiny Hoodie (pictured above) will remain in the shop even after the event ends. As well as the new shop item, there will be a new Collection Challenge. No further details have been released, but the rewards will be Stardust, a Lucky Egg, and XP upon completion.
