Eevee is one of the franchise’s most iconic monsters, and while finding one in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will prove difficult, it’s always a good idea to seek them out. We’ll cover all the places to find Eevee in this guide.
Eevee’s evolved forms are some of the better options in their Normal type class, with Espeon, Vaporeon, and Sylveon being just some of the standouts. However, finding Eevee in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will prove difficult; they’re only available in a select few locations and not very often.
Eevee Locations in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
It doesn’t take long to start your quest for Eevee in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as one of the only places you’ll find them in all of Paldea is in the fields west and north of the town of Cortondo. Coincidentally, Cortondo is home to the Bug Gym, the first gym on the critical path. You can get there by traveling west from Los Platos. The road takes you straight there.
Once you arrive in Cortondo, head to the grassy fields west of the town and wander about. Eevee are an incredibly rare spawn here, but this is the best place to find them, as they’ll be low enough level that you can quickly train them while raising their Friendship score. Trained Pokemon are always stronger than wild-caught ones, and you can also get a better feel for how they play.
There’s a small spot north of town as well, but it’s only worth checking if you want a change of scenery, as its tiny size makes farming for Eevee something of a crapshoot.
You can also find Eevee immediately around the city of Medali in the northwest portion of the map. As with Cortondo, the spawn rate near Medali is very low, so don’t expect to find three or four Eevees wandering close to one another. Pokemon around Medali are around levels 25-30 or so, meaning you’ll have to work harder to train any Eevee you find.
If you want to maximize the spawn possibilities for Eevee, get yourself a Sandwich with the Encounter Power: Normal ability. This will increase the number of Normal-type spawns in your immediate area, which will vastly increase your chances of an Eevee showing up.
If you don’t have any luck finding Eevee out in the wild, you can always hope to get lucky with a Tera Raid Battle. Outside of special events, there’s always a small chance either the PokePortal or the various crystals in your world will have a Terastal Eevee. Unless you want large Experience Candies, it’s probably best to go for a low-star Raid for better overall stats. Should you get a high-level Eevee, you can certainly use it for breeding your perfect evolution in the long run.
That’s about it for finding Eevee in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Expect to be looking long and hard if your luck isn’t the best. The reward is well worth the toil, as the various Eeveelutions are some of the best mid-late game options and can be good at any level if appropriately trained. We’ve covered other Pokemon topics here, including the best gym order, how to get Tera Shards, and more in our Scarlet and Violet guides hub.
