Ada starts her new DLC chapter of the Resident Evil 4 remake with a half-full health bar. But not to worry — a few Yellow Herbs will spruce that right up. Just like Leon, Ada can permanently increase her maximum health with a green/red/yellow herb mix. Here’s where to find the seven Yellow Herbs in RE4: Separate Ways.
The Hunt for Salad — Yellow Herb Locations in RE4: Separate Ways
You can’t use Yellow Herbs by themselves. If you mix them with a Green and Red Herb, you get a single curative item that will restore Ada’s health to full and increase her maximum health into the bargain.
Even at maximum health, Ada’s lack of access to body armor means she can’t take a hit as well as Leon can. That being said, you do feel the difference once you’re fully herb’d up.
Yellow Herb Locations
#1: In Chapter 2, once the villagers burst through the barred gate at ground level, get past them to find the herb on a crate. It’s in plain sight.
#2: When you reach the church’s entrance in Chapter 2, you’ll be staring right at this Yellow Herb ahead of you when Ada starts her radio call.
#3: In Chapter 3, don’t miss this in the Factory, on a shelf opposite the stairs down to the basement. It’s in the same room as Luis’s discarded pack of cigarettes. However, the camera angles can make it hard to spot if you’re in a hurry.
#4: In Chapter 4, this can be found along the top of the battlements. If you’ve just heard your buddy in the robe scream at you, you’re in the right place.
#5: In Chapter 5, look for the herb in the corner of the Waterway by a couple of crates. It’s near the entrance, and is guarded by the first pack of Ganado you’ll usually encounter down here.
#6: Near the start of Chapter 6, watch for this on the ground by the control booth as you’re leaving the Amber Storeroom.
#7: When you take the lift out of the Loading Docks in Chapter 7, look for this herb on a table in front of you as you disembark.
It takes roughly four G+R+Y herb mixes to max out Ada’s life bar, which completes the Botanist Challenge. This grants you 500 CP for use on bonuses in the Extra Content Shop.
After that point, you can keep collecting Yellow Herbs for their curative value or treat them as an alternate revenue stream. As in Leon’s game, the Merchant will pay you 10,000 pesetas for a G+R+Y herb mix, which is a nice bonus when you’re grinding for Infinite Rocket Launcher money.
