Not all long guns in Remnant 2 fire bullets. Some shoot arrows. There are three bows in the sequel to From the Ashes, and none are exactly easy to get. Still, there’s one that’s perhaps the hardest to find, requiring you to complete a puzzle in a relatively hidden area you may never come across. That’s because this is the most powerful bow in the game. Here’s how to get Sagittarius in Remnant 2.
How to Get Sagittarius in Remnant 2
To get Sagittarius in Remnant 2, you must complete all the puzzles in Cathedral of Omens. This side dungeon can be found in Yaesha, though its exact location is random because of RNG. I played through Yaesha several times on both PS5 and PC and only found Cathedral of Omens once, during an Adventure Mode run. This was in a Red Throne (Empress) playthrough, not during a Ravager playthrough.
Though I’ve written an entire step-by-step guide on how to complete the puzzles in Cathedral of Omens, here’s the short version with the key steps for getting Sagittarius. Again, you may need to run several Yaesha Adventure Modes to find this area.
- Open the hidden door in the center of the area, in the floor beneath the puzzle contraption.
- Put the circles above the Ravager, Sun, Life, and Doe symbols.
- Sagittarius will appear from the hidden door when you pull the final lever.

As mentioned at the start of this guide, Sagittarius is one of the most powerful weapons in Remnant 2. It’s a fantastic bow that deals immense damage to enemies both near and far. Without any upgrades, it’s able to deal 429 Crit damage on enemies in Losomn’s Butcher’s Quarter. Upgraded? It’s a beast of long gun. Starfall, its mod, “fires a powerful arrow that deals 33 damage and opens a 7m portal that rains down star fragments. Each fragment deals 55 damage within 4m and lasts 6s.”
The only real downside to Sagittarius is that it fires slowly and requires a “charge” by holding down the fire button, similar to the Bolt Driver. While it can deal devastating damage to enemies at short range, it can be easy to get overwhelmed by them because of its slow speed.
Regardless, that’s how to get Sagittarius in Remnant 2. For more weapon locations, walkthroughs, puzzle solutions, and tips and tricks, head over to our R2 guides page.
