Stoneshard Merchants: Full Item List, Where to Sell Items For the Most Gold

Stoneshard merchants buy items for different prices. We list out all of the items in Stoneshard and tell you which merchants give the most gold coin for each.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Stoneshard merchants are important because inventory space is extremely limited. There are no bags-of-holding or multiple backpack pages here! If you want to survive (and get more gold coin along the way), you need to travel light and know which items are worth picking up to sell, which should be hoarded for when you’re injured, and which should be thrown away.

Below we list out every item currently in the game, along with which merchants offer the best prices and most gold for each item.

As with our other Stoneshard Early Access walkthroughs, these tips are Coincurrent as of patch 0.5.7.8. Significant changes are expected ahead of full launch, with numerous updates. If you see something below that’s drastically different from what you’ve experienced, drop us a comment and we’ll get it updated to the latest patch.

How to Restock Gold for Merchants and Vendors

Selling junk to the merchant Jurg the Carpenter in Osbrook.Selling junk to Jurg the Carpenter in Osbrook

If you effectively farm pelts and antlers (check out our beginner’s tips and tricks for the best options), all of the merchants will quickly run out of gold. They can’t buy anything else from you. There are two ways to restock merchant NPCs.

If you sleep for three or four days, vendors will get a fresh supply of gold. That may not be cost-efficient, though. The inn charges money each night, your food may spoil in the meantime, and you might run out of time to complete a quest.

Vendors also get all their gold coin back whenever you restart the game. Just save at the inn, then restart Stoneshard. All vendors will have fully-stocked gold stores once again — and they can buy more pelts.

Yeah, its kinda’ cheating, but it’s worth it if you have a lot to sell.

NPC Vendors have different names in various towns when buying or selling, but each city has these merchant types:

  • Butcher
  • Carpenter
  • Emissar
  • Food trader
  • Fruit trader
  • Herbalist
  • Merchant
  • Miller
  • Smith
  • Tailor

Choosing the best Merchant type will ensure getting the most money back when selling your loot.

Complete Stoneshard Item List

The item list below doesn’t include weapons or armor, which sell at higher prices at the Smith than at other vendors. These, of course, will see some of the most balance changes throughout Stoneshard’s Early Access period.

Most food and beverage items also include rotten versions. As expected, these have reduced effects, feature a chance to cause sickness, and aren’t worth selling.

At this point in time, the “ingredients” item type isn’t used for anything. While these items will apparently be used in some sort of crafting system later, right now, they can be consumed to gain the listed effect (which is usually negative).
