The Hullabaloo is a new(-ish) Heavy Grenade Launcher available during Destiny 2 Guardian Games All-Stars, but what makes it interesting is it’s one of the only Compressed Wave Frame Heavy weapons in the game. With the right PvE and PvP god roll, the Hullabaloo can do some serious damage, so let’s run you through the traits, barrel, and magazine you’ll want for it.
Hullabaloo PvE God Roll
- Barrel: Volatile Launch
- Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
- Trait 1: Voltshot
- Trait 2: Chain Reaction
The Hullabaloo is at its best in a PvE setting where you can easily group large, uh, groups of enemies. Combining Voltshot with Chain Reaction on a Wave Frame GL makes a giant explosion of electricity not just possible but commonplace. While it might not be quite as comfortable to use as a god roll Forebearance, being a Heavy Weapon, the Hullabaloo with this roll is an out-and-out monster.
Hullabaloo PvP God Roll
- Barrel: Volatile Launch
- Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
- Trait 1: Impulse Amplifier
- Trait 2: Golden Tricorn
Sadly, the Hullabaloo can’t compete quite as well in PvP as it can against the enemies of humanity, but with this roll, you’ll be able to chain together kills a bit more easily as long as you can activate Golden Tricorn by getting one kill. Volatile Launch gives you some additional accuracy forgiveness, and High-Velocity Rounds keep the Blast Radius high. Other than that, defeating other Guardians with the Hullabaloo is all about situational awareness and good use of chokepoints.
How to Get and Farm the Hullabaloo In the Guardian Games All-Stars
There are two ways to get and farm the Hullabaloo: turning in Medallions and podium rewards. Of the two, Medallions are easier. Complete Guardian Games activities with an event-specific class item on and you’ll be swimming in them. Once your Medallion Case is full, return to the Tower and deposit them for your team for standing and a chance at a Hullabaloo.
Getting Podium Rewards takes a bit more doing, as to get all four of the left-side rewards, you need to reach the Platinum Threshold in the Vying for Supremacy quest. Doing so requires you to play the Guardian Games version of Supremacy in the Crucible. You’ll also need to perform well to maximize the amount of points you can get, and each successive rank takes more points to reach.
- Bronze is 150 points.
- Silver is 300 points.
- Gold is 600 points.
- Platinum is 1,000 points.
Once you reach Platinum, you can return to the Tower and activate all four of the left-side podiums. You’ll get more and better rewards the higher your score, with Platinum awarding an already-Masterworked Guardian Games weapon.
To reach the Platinum podium on the right side of the Tower, you need to get a Platinum score rank in the Competitive Nightfall playlist, available from the Tower director. For the Glassway Nightfall active in week one, that threshold was 175,000 points. If you kill every enemy in the activity, collect lots of Orbs of Power, and maximize your Vanguard Medal output, that value isn’t too hard to hit. Once you reach the PvE pinnacle, return to the Tower as before and activate each podium for rewards.
With that, you have everything you need to know about getting a god roll Hullabaloo for PvE or PvP in Destiny 2. It’s a neat weapon and more than worth your grinding time if Destiny 2 is one of your main games.
