Tower of Fantasy: How to Get to and Leave the Artificial Island

Here's how to find your way to and from the Artificial Island, the latest content in Tower of Fantasy.

The Artificial Island zone is one of the many areas you can explore in Tower of Fantasy. It’s on the smaller side, but you’ll still find plenty of Nuclei, activities, its own boss, and plenty of secrets.

The Artificial Island isn’t available to everyone immediately. You’ll need to spend some significant time in the base game before you can access the new play space. These limitations are for the best, as the Artificial Island hosts some of the harder challenges available in the game. Here’s how to get there.

How to Access the Artificial Island in Tower of Fantasy

You need to meet two core requirements to access the Artificial Island.

  • Progress to Chapter 2 in the story campaign.
  • Reach Wanderer Level 50. As leveling is time-gated, this will take you some time. See our how-to-level-up fast guide for additional help there.

Once you’ve achieved both milestones, head to the Banges Dock you reached in Chapter 2, then use the airship to travel to the Island. Kalador will walk you through a short quest chain. He’ll introduce construction sites that will make up your base and send you to a nearby Hyena camp.

Return to Kalador for a little more Tutorial, and then you’ll be free to explore with impunity.

Note that you don’t have to complete Kalador’s side quest to participate in any Artificial Island activities, but the markers won’t disappear from your HUD until you complete the quest chain. If you can stand to have an extra blue dot on your screen at all times, then don’t worry about these last steps, but they’re a good introduction to the new systems.

How to Leave the Artificial Island

When you want to leave the Artificial Island, you’ll need to return to your base and interact with the airship there. There is no way to fast travel between it and Asperia, so be sure to grab the Spacerift near the ship.

Whenever you want to return to the Artificial Island, you can either return to Banges and use the Airship or, more conveniently, open the main menu and select the Casual node

In the Casual menu, you can access the Building and Fishing activities. Selecting Building will take you to the Building Resources screen. Select Go in the bottom right to travel to the Island.

Now you’ve got access to the Artificial Island in Tower of Fantasy. There are dozens of additional hours of farming, raiding, and progression there, so take your time exploring and continuing your progression.
