Unlocking The Toast of Croydon and Cosplay Achievements in LEGO Marvel

Two hard to find, but easy achievements/trophies.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

It’s quite fun to play any of the cannon super heroes in the Marvel universe, and it’s even more fun when you can create your own super hero; or villain, for that matter.  As fun as the game is, at times it lacks in the tutorial department when showing some of the greatest features.

In this case, I’ve highlighted two achievements: “The Toast of Croydon” and “Cosplay,” for a total of 40 achievement/trophy points. That took me over a day to figure out.  This is rather easy and should only take a total of 5 minutes.

By now you’ve collected a few golden blocks and are ready to start mish-mashing mutant abilities together.  When you start the game you’re usually in the city hub, find a way up to the hovering S.H.I.E.L.D. Base.  Once there you will need to find the gigantic blue surface elevator.

Once you descend into the base, you’ll arrive in the “Control Room”.

From there, you’ll need to take the left hallway, then a straight run down the corridor until you reach the “Intelligence Centre.”  You’ll make a direct right and down a set of stairs into the doorway; you have now arrived in the “Medical Bay.”  Continue to go right until you see this:

It doesn’t matter which indicator you stand on, just hit the attack button and you’re sent to a rotating menu. When you select your “custom hero,” press “edit,” and you’ll be given several options to customize and creat your own character.

  • Randomly generated character
  • Mutant powers
  • Helmet/Mask
  • Hair
  • Face
  • Face color
  • Torso
  • Arms
  • Hands
  • Belt
  • Legs
  • Name

Be sure when changing the character name you spell “Trevor” verbatim, because the “Toast of Croydon” achievement is case-sensitive.  Assuming you’ve created the hero you want, just press “back” until you’ve arrived in the actual world again.  You should now have two more achievements and a big grin on your face.  Now go play with that awesome LEGO guy you just made.

Hopefully these tips will help you through the wonderful journey that is, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.  Be sure to stay tuned into Gameskinny.com for more guides like these.
