Defeat Raziel the Shepherd

Ancestral Forge requires a blueprint, which drops from Level 57 V Boss named Raziel the Shepherd, who can be found inside the Dunley Monastery at the Dunley Farmlands region (indicated by the red circle on the map above). His main power in Crimson Beam, which inflicts 200% magic damage and Leech, draining the life out of your character.

The best way to deal with this powerful boss is to craft the Holy Resistance potion, which will make your character immune to the Crimson Beam effect. I suggest finding Meredith the Bright Archer at the Haunted Iron Mine in the south of Daunley Farmlands to get the Holy Resistance blueprint. After that, you can craft the potion at the Alchemy Table, using the following recipe:

  • 60 Sunflower
  • 1 Grave Dust
  • 1 Water-filled Bottle

Once you manage to beat Raziel the Shepherd, he’ll drop some powerful items as a reward, including the following blueprints:

  • Crimson Beam
  • Jewelcrafting Table
  • Ancestral Forge

Now you can actually build the Ancestral Forge inside a confined castle room on the matching forge floor, using the following materials:

  • 1 Primal Blood Essence
  • 8 Radium Alloy
  • 16 Iron Ingot

All three ingredients also require blueprints of their own to be unlocked after defeating the following three bosses:

  • Primal Blood Essence: Jade the Vampire Hunter (Dunley Farmlands)
  • Radium Alloy: Ziva the Engineer (Gloomrot South)
  • Iron Ingot: Quincey the Bandit King (Bandit Stronghold, Farbane Woods)

How to Use Ancestral Forge in V Rising

Ancestral Forge is a special workstation that was designed to do only one thing: repair shattered legendary weapons. These are very powerful weapons that can be dropped by V Bosses, but they can’t be used without being repaired in the Ancestral Forge first. Once you find such a weapon, bring it to the forge and press the “F” key to start the restoration process, using the following recipe:

  • 3 Onyx Tears
  • 1 Primal Blood Essence
  • 1 Shattered Legendary Weapon

As a result, you’ll have a legendary weapon with individual stats and abilities that can never be duplicated again. Each weapon you reforge in the Ancestral Forge will be a completely unique weapon. That’s everything you need to know on how to make an Ancestral Forge in V Rising. Stay tuned for more V Rising tips and tricks articles right here.
