After months of waiting, World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 rolled out. That means we finally get to go past Level 25, and even buy mounts. But we won’t get to the original Classic cap of Level 60. So, what’s the new level cap in WoW SoD Phase 2?
World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 2: What Level can you Reach?
Phase 1 capped us at Level 25, but Phase 2 raises that cap to Level 40. This means we have access to more dungeons, areas, and a new set of Runes for each class. You can also level professions higher with the new level cap. I look forward to getting a mount at Level 40 as a Mage, since Blink only gets you so far. The tough part is gathering the gold for purchasing both the mount and the riding lessons to use it.
Discoverer’s Delight Increases Gains by 50% to Help Get to Level 40
Now’s the perfect time to level due to the Discoverer’s Delight buff on everybody, increasing experience gains by 50%. The pace of Classic is much slower than retail WoW. Plus, Rested Experience wears off quickly, then takes forever to build it up again while sitting in a safe area. Dungeon grinding goes quicker with this buff, and that means I can reach old favorites like Scarlet Monastery faster and see Thousand Needles as it was before being flooded. Although, I don’t look forward to the run required to get to Scarlet Monastery as an Alliance character.
That answers what the new WoW SoD Phase 2 level cap is, and what content you have access to with that higher maximum level. Phase 3 might seem far away now, but the slow pace of Classic means you need to put more time into the game to complete content. From here, check our guide hub for more content like where to find Razorfen Kraul or a full list of zones organized by level.
