The Finals is an upcoming multiplayer shooter for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S that has no official release date yet, but the open beta playtest is up and running. Our guide will answer the question: When does the open beta playtest end?
When Is The Finals Playtest End Date?
The Finals playtest started on October 26, 2023 and it’ll end on November 5, 2023 at around 2.30AM PST / 5.30AM EDT / 10.30AM GMT. That’s 11 days of free gameplay for anyone who’s submitted their wish to take part in the open beta test since day one. There have been two closed beta tests previously, one between March 7 and March 21 and another between June 14 and June 21. There’s still lots of room for improvement. The game’s been infamously suffering from low framrates and poor performance.
But I still urge you to check out The Finals, a first-person shooter where players compete in a televised virtual combat game show. What’s remarkable about this game is that the show is hosted by the AI announcers. This decision has been highly controversial and many players have been criticizing it.
On the other hand, there’s a hugely improved destruction system that allows players to destroy the environment as they see fit to reach their goals. The executive producer of The Finals, Rob Runesson, stated the following:
“We’re constantly surprised by the new and inventive ways players utilize the freedom the game grants. Why open a door when you can use a rocket launcher to blow a hole in the wall, right?”
On top of that, you can see below some of the main features of the game:
- Model: Free-to-play.
- PvP: Four 3-player teams.
- Customization: Characters and loadouts.
- Goal: Race to collect the most cash in 8 minutes.
