Where to Find the Cross-Naginata in Elden Ring

Learn where you can find the powerful Cross-Naginata in Elden RIng here.

Spears are one of the most powerful weapon classes in Elden Ring, and one fo the strongest of their number is the dreaded Cross-Naginata, bane of PvP and destroyer of bosses. And unlike other powerful Bleed weapons, it’s easy to find the Cross-Naginata and start using it at the start of a playthrough.

How to Get the Cross-Naginata in Elden Ring

You can find the Cross-Naginata in the Gael Tunnel near the Limgrave-Caelid border. It is quite easy to get to it and while you’re out there you can snatch another great thing – Moonveil.

From the Rotview Balcony Site of Grace, go south along the cliffs until you see a small outpost of red-cloaked guards. With them in view, head west toward the sea, then head down into the tunnel they guard.

Unlike Moonveil, you don’t have to go very far to get to the Cross-Naginata. Once inside Gael Tunnel, carefully jump down until you reach the area’s Site of Grace. Rest, then proceed through the opening across from you. To your left will be several sets of platforms and stairs leading deeper into the mine, as well as a soldier overlooking the place. Instead of heading all the way down to the left, descend only one platform and head through the tunnel leading right.

You’ll pass a few additional soldiers, and eventually, you’ll begin seeing the tentacle land octopi. Continue deeper into their cave, and you’ll eventually see into two shiny lootable items in the back of the room, both guarded by a giant land octopus. The one on the left is the Cross-Naginata, which you can grab at your leisure and then quickly leave if you’re so inclined.

You can also kill all the enemies if you like. If you don’t already have Moonveil, I recommend heading to the deepest depths of Gael Tunnel and defeating the boss to get it. Trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed if you’re rocking an Intelligence and Dexterity build.

If you infused the Cross-Naginata with either Cold or Magic, you could even use both weapons together, as it only requires 16 Strength and 20 Dexterity to use, slightly more than Moonveil itself (minus the Int requirement).

It also comes with a default 50 Bleed buildup, and if you pump your Arcane stat, pair the Naginata with a second Spear, and Bleed infuse both, you have one of the completely braindead win buttons in Elden Ring. No enemy in the game that’s weak to Bleed will be able to withstand the setup, and it’s stupidly strong in PvP as well. Just don’t expect using it to win you any friends.

Bear in mind that because of its potential power, you can only technically get one Cross-Naginata in a single Elden Ring playthrough, and any others you find will be from additional new game cycles. You can have a friend drop one (or more) for you, circumventing the need to beat the game to get new copies.

Now that you know how to get the Cross-Naginata in Elden Ring, you’ve made almost any fight in the game much easier. You won’t instantly win everything, even with two of them, but if you pump your Vigor, Arcane, and Dexterity stats, let me tell you, the game becomes much more comfortable, regardless of your skill level.
