Where to Get Training Manuals in Palworld (& What They Do)

It’s important to have the most powerful pals you can get in Palworld, to help work your base and battle bosses around the world. They can level up just like you can, but you can speed up the process using Training Manuals. Here’s where to get Training Manuals and how they work.

How to Find Training Manuals in Palworld

Unfortunately, you cannot craft Training Manuals like most other items for your pals. Instead, they hide away in chests around the map, particularly ones found in dungeons or Pal Sanctuaries.

I was able to find a stack of Training Manuals in a chest within a dungeon. There are tons and tons of dungeons scattered around the map to find. They will look like caves within hillsides and cliffs, and they’re in every biome. I found most of them on the outskirts of the biomes on beaches and hilltops.

Once you get to a dungeon, enter by interacting with the cave entrance. Inside, you’ll need to navigate your way through until you can find the dungeon boss. These bosses work just like Alpha Boss Pals. The biome you’re in will determine how difficult they are. After defeating them, you’ll find the exit teleport and two chests to loot beside it. These chests will have your Training Manuals.

What Do Training Manuals Do?

Training Manuals will level up your pals a lot more quickly. They can come in various sizes and rarities. Depending on their size, they will increase levels multiple times. The ordinary Training Manual will do about 20 levels, whereas the legendary XXL manuals will increase far more. It works like a consumable item for your pals, and you cannot use them on yourself.

How to Use Training Manuals

Now that you have some Training Manuals, you can put them to good use. Open your Inventory to locate them after collecting them from the dungeon chests. Then, press X, Square, or M2 to use it.

Once you press the Use button, you will be given a selection of the pals currently in your Party slots. You can feed the manual to any of them to increase their levels. The manuals are only usable once, so pick the pal you want to focus on leveling up. If you have more than one manual, you can use the others directly after the other or place it on another pal.

As they level up, pals become even more valuable to your party and base. They’ll learn new abilities to use and gain new attributes. Keep heading to other dungeons to stock up on manuals and keep all your pal levels high.
