Wild Hearts has some of the same errors and issues that many recent games have experienced at launch. At launch, some players have reported an FPS drop problem that seemingly can’t be fixed through the usual means of lowering graphics settings.
Fortunately, a working solution has been found and can be used until an official patch fixes the error. It surprisingly doesn’t require you to verify game files, change various GPU settings, or reinstall the game. This guide will provide you with tips on how to fix FPS drop bug in Wild Hearts.
Change Your Audio Settings
Yes, audio can potentially cause the FPS drop hiccup in Wild Hearts! A Steam user has reported that changing audio settings for the monster hunting game fixed the error. As strange as it may sound, this method actually works and helped many other players, too.
According to the user, here’s what you need to do:
- Go to “Settings” menu from the main screen.
- Select “Audio” option.
- Go to “Output Settings” tab.
- Change “Stereo” setting to “7.1ch./5.1ch.” setting.
- Apply changes and restart the game.
Publisher EA and developer Koei Tecmo has also confirmed that this workaround fixes the issue, although not 100% of the time, in a dedicated Reddit post.
