The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Royal Guard’s weapons and items are some of the best that you can find in the game. They include three armaments and a shield, and to find them, you’ll need to head to a familiar location. Here’s our guide to help you get Royal Guard’s weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Get Royal Guard’s Weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
You can find Royal Guard’s items in various locations throughout the game world. However, the best way to acquire them is to head to Hyrule Castle. You can’t miss it, as it’s the big, floating castle that’s seen just as you skydive down to the Surface region of Hyrule.
Hyrule Castle itself can be reached once you have access to your first Skyview Tower in Lookout Landing. All you need to do is use the launch pad, then glide to it. Early in the game, you might need an additional bit of stamina via a food item or elixir.
Alternatively, you can complete a few Shrines to upgrade your stamina (which I recommend) or use Tulin’s ability that creates a gust of wind, a good option after adding a ring or two to your stamina bar.
Where to Find the TotK Royal Guard’s Weapons
Upon reaching Hyrule Castle. You should be able to grab the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Royal Guard’s weapons. Simply head to the Sanctum (i.e., Throne Room) and make your way up the steps to either wing:
- The left side has the Royal Guard’s Bow lying next to the ruined statue of a horse’s head. The Royal Guard’s Claymore is behind the statue itself.
- In the middle landing, you’ll find the Royal Guard’s Spear.
- You’ll spot the Royal Guard’s Sword and Royal Guard’s Shield lying neatly in the right corner.
Moreover, you’ll notice that these armaments aren’t stored inside chests but are out in the open. That means they’ll respawn each Bloodmoon Cycle. I personally advise plopping down an extra Travel Medallion at the entrance to the Sanctum, as this lets you teleport to the location instantly without having to glide from the Skyview Tower.
TotK Royal Guard’s Weapons and Shields Stats
These are the stats of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Royal Guard’s weapons and shield:
- Royal Guard’s Claymore: +32 attack.
- Royal Guard’s Sword: +22 attack.
- Royal Guard’s Spear: +15 attack.
- Royal Guard’s Bow: +50 attack.
- Royal Guard’s Shield: +70 attack.
The bow and the shield have relatively high stats. However, they also lack durability. The other weapons, meanwhile, have a unique perk: their attack power is doubled once they’re about to break (i.e., flashing red icon and warning). Moreover, this perk also affects materials that you’ve Fused to them. I personally love using the materials dropped by Lynels since these tend to have high DPS, too.
But now that you know how to get the Royal Guard’s weapons and shield, you’ll have a better chance against the various enemies and bosses across the game.
