This upcoming Tuesday 7/7/15 is Bungie day and Destiny vets will get a reward for being loyal and dedicated guardians. This may not be what all day one players have been asking for as far as a reward goes but it is something that Bungie has been working on for a long time and to be honest, something is better than nothing.
One Year Ago…
It’s been a year since the Destiny Alpha was launched and played by a few select players. This is what Bungie day is, the one year mark of when the alpha was released and tested to ensure things were running smoothly. As a beta tester myself, the beta was fun, exciting and new. It ran smoothly and was nothing I have played before. a year later use alpha, beta and launch day guardians will receive an exclusive emblem.
In this weeks weekly update, DeeJ had this to say:
“We’ll also tell you how any player who has braved the first year of Destiny can achieve permanent, exclusive legendary status. This is something we’ve been working on for a while, and your own triumphs are the crucial ingredient.”
This new emblem will showcase which guardians are Vets and it will be a reminder that they have braved the darkness for the first year. This is a step in the right direction for us veterans but more needs to be given, like exclusive day one legendary weapons or exotics. We will see what happens in the upcoming months and the next year.
