Survival horror games have a place in the hearts of PC and console gamers alike. One of PC’s better horror games this year, Lone Survivor, just happens to be making its way to Sony consoles.
Jasper Byrne, creator of Lone Survivor one-man-team behind Superflat Games, announced the PS3 and Vita port on his blog. Curve Studios will be stepping in to handle the port, which will entail coding the game all over from scratch. Quite a task.
Bryne is naturally excited, and console gamers who have yet to play the game can find something to be excited about as well. He promises it will be “super-smooth running” and will include German and French translations.
Survival horror fans owe it to themselves to play this game, whether on PC or when the PS3 and Vita port is released. 2012 hasn’t exactly been the most exciting year for survival horror, and slower-paced thought-provoking horror games are getting scarcer by the year.
There is no release date yet, but we can probably expect Lone Survivor to hit the Playstation Network sometime next year.
