Indie developer Untame has announced two preorder bundles for their upcoming game Mushroom 11, a puzzle platformer that will be available on PC, Mac, and Linux. Everyone who pre-orders will be able to play the game’s first level.
Mushroom 11 was originally conceived at NYU’s 2012 Global Game Jam, and has so far been playable at PAX and GDC. The game is funded by the Indie Fund, selected as one of the PAX 10, as well as being a finalist for the IGF Design of Excellence.
Gameplay is focused on destruction. The developer states:
In this unusual puzzle platformer, you guide an amorphous organism that can only move by destroying its own cells. Detached cells immediately regrow elsewhere on the creature, so you can expand and contract, change shape, and even split yourself freely while traveling through a desolate, post-apocalyptic world that tests your logic skills as well as your reflexes.
As of now, you can pre-order Mushroom 11 for PC, Mac and Linux with the following preorder bundles:
- Basic Preorder ($19.99): This gives you instant access to two digital wallpapers, first level preview, and a downloadable copy of Mushroom 11 at launch (in either a DRM free download or Steam key)
- OST Fungal Bundle ($34.99): This bundle gives you instant access to two digital wallpapers, first level preview, exclusive soundtrack (music by The Future Sound of London), original digital sketchbook, and downloadable copy of Mushroom 11 at launch (in either a DRM free download or Steam key)
