CD Projekt Red confirms that Cyberpunk 2077 is being delayed two months.

Cyberpunk 2077 might be one of gaming’s most hotly anticipated titles, but it’s clear that CD Projekt Red don’t want to rush its release. Having previously been delayed from its initial April 2020 release to September, it’s been confirmed today via Twitter that the first-person RPG has now been pushed back once more, this time to November 19.

Confirming that Cyberpunk 2077’s main content is now complete, CD Projekt advised that this delay is for quality assurance:

The quests, the cutscenes, the skill and items; all the adventures Night City has to offer — it’s all there. But with such an abundance of content and complex systems interweaving with each other, we need to properly go through everything, balance game mechanics and fix a lot of bugs. A huge world means a huge number of things to iron out and we will spend the additional time doing exactly that.

What hasn’t been delayed is the Night City Wire event, still set to take place on June 25. So for any fans disappointed at this news, there’s still much to look forward to in the coming week. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more on Cyberpunk 2077 as we learn it.
