Tales of Arise Earth Seeds are easy to find in theory, but a bit more elusive in practice. Here's how to get them and complete Hard Liquor.

Tales of Arise Earth Seed Location: How to Complete Hard Liquor

Tales of Arise Earth Seeds are easy to find in theory, but a bit more elusive in practice. Here's how to get them and complete Hard Liquor.

You’ll have to find plenty of Tales of Arise Earth Seed to complete Hard Liquor early during your Cyslodian journey. It might be tempting to ignore the early quest, since a fair bit of grinding goes into getting the necessary earth seeds.

It’s worth the bother, though, since you’ll get a fancy new recipe for your trouble. Here’s where to find earth seed in Tales of Arise and how to complete Hard Liquor.

Tales of Arise Earth Seed Location

Ropers will rarely drop Earth Seeds. Ulvhan Grotto, the cave connecting Calaglia to Cyslodia, is swarming with Ropers, so you may already have some by the time you encounter Hard Liquor in Messia 224.

If not, backtracking isn’t required. The upcoming Rudhir Forest right after Messia also has no shortage of Ropers wandering about.

If you haven’t been paying attention to enemy names thus far, Ropers are the giant green things that resemble glowing green squids. Ropers are weak to wind, so Rinwell’s base wind spell and Alphen’s Severing Wind arte should serve you well.

Boisterous Roper enemy.

The problem is Earth Seed’s rarity. There’s no guarantee Ropers will drop any, and you don’t have battle chaining unlocked just yet. If the randomness of item drops is frustrating you, you can leave the quest until later and come back after arriving in Menancia.

Tales of Arise quests don’t expire, and the recipe you unlock isn’t tremendously useful just yet anyway.

It’s the Lohikeitto recipe, a dish that slightly boosts item drop rates — handy for later item harvesting quests, but not so much at this point. There’s a bonus effect if you cook with Kisara as well, which is even more reason to hold off on this if you don’t get Earth Seeds fast.

That’s all you need to know about Tales of Arise Earth Seed locations and how to complete Hard Liquor, but make sure to check out our other Tales of Arise guides for more tips.
