Bloodstalker is a new tamable beast in the latest Genesis expansion for ARK: Survival Evolved, which can fly and most surprisingly doesn’t require a saddle.
Unlike many other creatures in ARK, this one can be tamed only by non-violent measures, which may seem unusual for many players considering the usual methods.
The taming process also requires certain preparation before going all in. So just follow the steps below and soon you will be riding your own tamed Bloodstalker.
Bloodstalker Location
Bloodstalkers inhabit a swamp area in the southeastern part of the map. Use the coordinates 75x and 80y to locate the Bloodstalkers.
You won’t always find them at the exact same spot, but usually, this is where they spawn the most.
How to Tame Bloodstalker
Bloodstalkers are spider-like creatures that usually hang on the branches of the trees. They are very aggressive and will try to latch onto you as soon as you approach them.
Since the taming of a Bloodstalker is a non-violent process, this is exactly what you want, so let the creature latch onto you. Don’t fight it!
But before doing this you need to have at least a 1000 Blood Packs in your inventory. When Bloodstalker latches, it consumes your Blood Packs, and that’s usually how much a Bloodstalker consumes before being tamed.
You can get Blood Packs by using a Blood Extraction syringe to create them yourself.
The whole process may take up to 30 minutes, so have some patience. But as soon as it consumes enough Blood Packs and your Tame Modifier reaches a 100%, the Bloodstalker will be tamed.
Lastly, bring a Bug Repellent along the way, as there are lots of attacking bugs in the swamp. This should protect you from an unwanted blood loss.
